I hate pollen.
I really do.
Even as I type this, the invading army of pollen covers any and every stationary object like a blanket…changing a myriad of colors to one uniformed and drab yellow-green hue.
Sounds like the ramblings of a mad man you say? Well, I say you are lucky to be immune to their toxins. Pollen season is here and I’m rain dancing until the cavalry arrives to wash the enemy away. (THIS JUST IN: The doctor says I have a sinus infection. Dayam! I hate pollen!)
Welcome back, family.
I am glad that you have made this site, www.top20takeover.vvcradio.com, a part of your busy day. I love visitors so sit a spell and make yourself comfy. Cheetos, anyone? Sprite?
Now that you are here, leave me a message so I’ll know who to respond back to and/or leave a shoutout about my current show. But more about that in a second. I want to get to know YOU! Tell me about yourselves. If you’re shy, then let me help you out:
*Name or Online Alias (So I know what to call you)
*City/State/Country where you currently reside(I want to keep track of where in the world my listeners are. On the real, we have people in Britain (Big ups, Wise Son) and Australia (David Yardin…my dude!)
*Where do you listen to the show? Home or Work? (I’m nosey!)
*Where do you work? (So I can shout out the company you work for & maybe your co-workers)
*How’d you hear about the show? (Because I’m curious…honest.)
*Tell me anything else you’d like for me to know
While I am thinking about it, I want to thank the VVCGirls for holding down the fort while I was away. A lot of people were surprised to hear voices other than my own and I apologize for that. I’m still here…I just needed a vacation.
As of April 10th, a brand new episode of my show (with me behind the mic) has been posted and trust me… you’re gonna love it! I’ve been saying that April is “Read A Book” month on “The Takeover: Top 20 Countdown” and now you’ll understand why. I really am proud of this show.
I had the pleasure of interviewing two incredible authors:
Hadjii      - “Don’t Let My Mama Read This: A Southern Fried Memoir”
Ari Meier - “The ScreamBed Chronicles: The Last Days of Playas & Other Insecure Men”
If this show doesn’t send you to your local bookstore (or www.thasupplyhouse.com where you can get Ari’s book for only $15!), then there is NO help for you guys when it comes to reading.Â
And to top the great interviews, my Top 20 list consists of some of the hottest ol’ skool R&B, funk, soul and hip hop songs from artists such as Al Green, S.O.S Band, Prince and more … that you, the listeners requested on voted on
I, DJ Mastrmynd, hope you enjoy the show. If you do, then tell a friend to tell a friend to check me out on the 1st and 15th of every month for a brand new show (But not this month…April is all about “Reading” and supporting authors).
If you really like the show, then put me in your favorites. *wink* I’m kinda in a secret contest to get more web traffic than the other great shows on www.vvcradio.com. Help a brother win. Visit this site often and listen to the show as many times as humanly possible and definitely spread the word. Maybe I’ll win a toaster or something. ![]()
Like free stuff? If you do, then go to the Free Stuff link at the main vvcradio.com page. Once there, you can download desktop images and much more. Soon, we’ll be selling ringtones. I’m my voice on your phone.Â
Just don’t use me for calls that you want to avoid.
That’s enough rambling for today. Thanks for stopping by.
Right on to tha real and death to the fakers! Peace out!
I am… Arvell “DJ Mastrmynd” Poe
